Yarnapalooza!!

Woo hoo!  Look what was waiting for me when I got home yesterday.

It's YARNAPALOOZA!  Woo hoo!  I bought enough yarn to make myself 3 sweaters, a sweater for my hubby, and socks for my niece.  I think I'm all set...for a little while anyway.  Well...at least until Cyber Monday...

The beginning...

Sticks, string, cloth and paper? Huh? What the heck? Ok. My name is Dee, and I'm "bicraftual." I knit, crochet, sew, quilt and read. (I know. Reading is not a craft, but hey! It's my blog! I can do what I want, right?) I've been sewing since I was about 6 years old, crocheting since I was a teenager, quilting for about 15 years, I taught myself to knit about 2 years ago, and I've been reading...well since I was taught to read when I was too young to remember. If I could write as well as say, Nora Roberts, Janet Evanovich, or Stephen King, I would SO be a writer! (Ok. I don't know how well Stephen King writes. His books creep me out. Can't finish them. But my best friend, Alicia, swears he's an EXCELLENT writer.)

ANYWAY, I'm starting this blog to share (read this as "submit you to") my various interests that are not at all related to my job. Ok. I may complain about my job. And my best friend works with me. But I'll try to keep it non-job related. With the exception of talking about my BFF. That's non-negotiable. Get over it. I may even talk about my mom (my other BFF), my husband and family too. Again. Get over it. My blog.

I'm currently knitting a fantastic cardigan pattern called Vitamin D. I very cleverly renamed mine "Vitamin Dee." I know. Witty, right? I thought so too. As soon as I can figure out how the heck to post pictures and put them where I want them, I'll post a darn picture. Whatever. Not like you really care, do you? If you do, my apologies. I'll post it later.

So...whenever I feel the need to share, I'll be back.
